That’s Fire!” – a phrase we hear constantly at METROPOLIS VINTAGE. It gets tiring, and sometimes you need a little protection. Well, the gods of METROPOLIS VINTAGE were smiling upon us when we unearthed this new collection of original, authentic FIRE RESISTANT FLIGHT JACKETS. They’re military issue, have got space for proper patches, the whole nine yards.
Frequent customer Julian Casablancas stopped in the other day to peruse our wares and mentioned that he wore his latest Metropolis find onstage at Barclay’s Center for their New Years Eve show. Indeed he did, here is the evidence to prove it. Come down and check out our new supply before The Strokes steal all of it!

Looks like one of our BECK T-Shirts was used in BECK’s latest video! This man is probably crying because he was unable to keep the T-Shirt after the shoot was over. We’d like to thank everyone that came out to celebrate JOHN HOLMSTROM and AID MACSPADE’s HEP CAT Tee Shirt launch last Friday. The official “John Holmstrom Dressing Room” is now open for your enjoyment as you can see below!
JOHN and AID signed anything and everything available and a great time was had by all! DJ DREW REDMOND kept the music going while the drinks were flowing. We even had a surprise appearance by MONTE MELNICK, famously known as the RAMONES longtime, long-suffering tour manager and author of the book ON THE ROAD WITH THE RAMONES, which, coincidentally, is featured on the walls of our new dressing room in several editions.
We’ve really missed having events and now with our new location on Broadway, we finally have the space to make it happen in a big way. Stay tuned for more in the future!
